Through the history of food, dance, religion, and traditions this virtual exhibit will introduce some of the ways the generations of today are preserving their Indigenous roots and honoring their ancestors. A trav\u00e9s de la historia de la comida, la danza, la religi\u00f3n y las tradiciones, esta exhibici\u00f3n virtual presentar\u00e1 algunas de las formas en que las generaciones actuales preservan sus ra\u00edces ind\u00edgenas y honran a sus antepasados. Natalie Naranjo-Morett (she\/her\/ella) is a Tijuana, Mexico native but was born and raised in San Diego, California. Growing up in San Diego with immigrant parents meant she was able to embrace her cross-cultural identity while also discovering a passion for history, specifically that of Latin American Indigenous communities. By collaborating with and amplifying the voices of Latin American communities, Natalie hopes to decolonize the ways in which museums represent Latin American Indigenous history and culture.<\/p>\r\n

Natalie Naranjo-Morett (she\/her\/ella) es nativa de Tijuana, M\u00e9xico pero naci\u00f3 y fue criada en San Diego, California. Crecer en San Diego con padres inmigrantes signific\u00f3 que pudo apreciar su identidad intercultural que resulto en que descubriera una pasi\u00f3n por la historia, espec\u00edficamente la de las comunidades ind\u00edgenas latinoamericanas. Al colaborar y amplificar las voces de las comunidades latinoamericanas, Natalie espera descolonizar las formas en que los museos representan la historia y la cultura ind\u00edgena latinoamericana.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
